This week’s prompts provide an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to work on their scene drawing skills! Throughout the week we’ll draw objects you’d find in a living room. If you’re looking for a challenge you can use this weeks prompts to create an interior scene!
(I’ve got a great tutorial for you on how to create an interior scene – so read on!)
I created this living room scene with skills taught in Scene School.
I love sharing behind the scenes updates with our members, letting them know what’s going on with all things Bardot Brush, Art Maker’s club, special projects, and beyond. This week I was up at our family’s Airbnb in Lake Tahoe finishing up a super secret, year-long project. If you’re an Art Maker’s Club Member, then you already know the big news!
If you want a peek behind the scenes on my next projects, courses, and new brush sets, be sure to join the club, as I’ll be sharing all the juicy secrets over there!
Our second live event for Art Maker’s Club is coming up on August 12! This will be a live Q+A where member’s will be able to pick my brain and ask me anything! It could be about life and creativity, your burning Procreate questions, being a small business owner and mother, anything goes!
If you’re not an Art Maker’s Club member, be sure to join to be able to attend this event (as well as get access to premium courses, exclusive Procreate brushes and a thriving art community of 1,000+ members!)
You can access each weeks prompts with quick links to reference photos at makingarteverday.com.
If you only draw one piece this week,
Follow along with me as I show you how to draw a trio of house plants in Procreate. For this drawing, I’ll be using brushes from my Multi-Tonal Markers. This set can achieve some really interesting color effects, I think you are going to love the look and feel you can create with it.
In this tutorial I’ll be teaching you all about perspective! One and two point perspective, manipulating your vanishing points and we’ll learn how to use Procreate’s perspective drawing guide. Then I’ll show you how I use all of this to create this interior scene drawing.
This week’s featured brush set is the newly updated Basic Toolkit. These brushes are perfect for quickly rendering artwork with ease! It’s got everything you need to quickly create stylized art in Procreate. If you already own these brushes (or the Master Bundle) be sure to download your free update by logging into your account! Don’t have Basic Toolkit yet? It’s currently 20% off in the shop!
