Ordering your ABC book From Mixbook

For the month of March in Making Art Everyday, we have been illustrating the alphabet! The big challenge is to complete every letter and print it into a book that you can hold in your hands. To help you achieve this goal, I’ve partnered with Mixbook, an awesome, easy-to-use book printer!

Tips for Ordering your ABC book From Mixbook

Export your Artwork

You can create your book directly from your iPad or use your computer. Export your art from Procreate as .png or .jpg and save them to your camera roll.

Start with a Blank Canvas

Start with a Blank Canvas book. Choose either the 6×6″ or 8.5×8.5″ square book.

Click START BOOK to open the book designer. Here you can upload all your “photos” (AKA your artwork). Choose the “Add From Desktop” option and choose the artwork you had saved to your Camera Roll (Select multiple by swiping). I would recommend NOT auto filling your book.

Set up Your Page Layouts

While your artwork is uploading, start preparing your layout designs. Tap the “Layouts” tab. If you choose the full bleed-option, about 1/8″ of your artwork will be cropped off the edges. If you have details close to the edge, choose a layout with a thin white border. Tap through and apply that layout to all your pages. Tp: You can add more pages using the “Page Tools” button.

Start filling up your book!

Drag and drop your artwork on pages in alphabetical order. Don’t forget to add your cover artwork (back and front) and add your title to the spine.

Order your ABC BOOK

Preview your book and if you’re ready, tap “Order” to choose available options!

The hardest part: waiting!
