How to Draw Scandinavian-Style Folk Art // Stay Home and Draw

Play Video

Follow along with me as I show you how to draw Scandinavian-Style Folk Art in Procreate! We’ll be exploring motifs and characteristics found commonly in Folk Art. We’ll also be utilizing Procreate’s symmetry feature, which is very fun and allows you to create art in half the time!

This artwork was inspired by the Making Art Everyday challenge. The theme for April was “Weather + Art Styles”.  The focus is to draw various elements of weather while exploring a variety of different art styles, one of them being Folk Art! The drawing prompt for this piece is “Night Sky.” For more art-style inspiration, see my article, 30 Art Styles to Try in Procreate.
