Within six weeks, we’d hosted 22 live tutorials and have now taught a total of 33 since the pandemic began. I guess it’s no surprise to say I LOVE teaching live tutorials. It’s been such a fun way to connect with you and bring some creativity and joy into this crazy time we’re living through. Tutorials have been a little more sporadic since I had a baby at the beginning of May, but we are excited to get back into a regular schedule!
As we plan out what live tutorials will look like going forward, we would love your input. If you have a couple of minutes, please fill out the survey below about what days/times work best for you and what type of content you would like to see! THANK YOU! |
How do you make something look shiny or reflective? Learn this easy technique on how to draw and shade surfaces so that they look like metal. Follow along as we draw a cute robot in Procreate and demonstrate this technique. We’ll also play around with Procreate 5x Gradient Maps to make colorful metallic surfaces, including silver, gold, and beyond! For this tutorial I’ll be using brushes from my Gouache Paintbox.
The best place to catch the live stream is on the Bardot Brush YouTube Channel. Don’t forget: You can watch or re-watch the previous livestreams on my Live tutorials page on Bardot Brush!
Been feeling spacey lately? You are not alone! Let’s imagine an alternate universe or maybe some time in the distant future as we draw Sci-Fi stuff this week!
Remember, our “plus” challenge for the month is to try to compose your illustrations with unique perspectives. Here’s the Pinterest board I made to inspire you:
