Week TWENTY-EIGHT

I just wanna say, WOW. I am so proud of you!

This week I have seen so many of you break out of your comfort zones to learn how to draw people this week. I’ve seen the stories you’ve posted about how you never thought you’d be able to draw people and that you were always afraid of it. I’ve seen you sharing your hard work and progress with the community. I’ve seen you encouraging each other. I’ve seen you dedicating time daily to something that fulfills you. I see you. What you’re doing is not only good for you, but motivates others to do things they never thought they could do. Keep up the good work!

What to Do

  • Sketch a few ideas for each of the daily prompts about emotions this week. If you have time, finish one of your sketches off with color. My How to Draw Hair tutorial has a great step-by-step for how to color a people drawing.

People

People Skills month continues this week as we explore expressions. Look at reference photos of people displaying the different emotions below. Look at what each of the facial features are doing, and how you can exaggerate that in your people drawings. I’ll be releasing a tutorial about drawing expressions later this week, so keep your eyes peeled! Be sure to subscribe to the Bardot Brush YouTube channel so you don’t miss it.
