Wheels up, Art-Maker! It’s time to take this vacation to the sky! There’s nothing like experiencing a new place. This week’s MAE theme is Jetsetting. So grab your passport, airline tickets and camera because we’ll be drawing all things air-travel.
*Stars* on either side of a prompt indicate that there is a learning resource available for you. This could be a video tutorial, blog post or social media reel.
You can access each week’s prompts with quick links to reference photos at makingarteverday.com.
If you only draw one piece this week,
I created this fun pink airplane with my Multi-tonal Markers. This set has excellent marker texture that looks remarkably similar to the real thing. People will be shocked that you used your iPad to create it!
I’ll teach you this simple method for painting a skyful of gorgeous puffy clouds in Procreate using brushes from my Gouache Paintbox.
These illustration brushes feature loads of randomized texture to give the effect of real gouache paint on a brush. Brushes have built-in inconsistencies, resulting in a very natural, hand-painted look.
If you only draw one piece this month, design a travel postcard!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to create special text effects like 3D block shadowing, inner strokes and warping?! If you said yes, my NEW Skillshare class is for you!! Join me as I teach you how to create a vintage style postcard in Procreate!
“Fantastic workshop. Clear, concise instructions at a good pace. Not a single step was missed, so I felt like I was having a one-on-one lesson. I am so pleased with my creation, it came out way better than I expected! Also loved the music selection.” – Catherine G.
“Loved this class! The project was super fun and Lisa’s teaching style is so clear and organized, perfect for beginners but not too slow so more advanced people will enjoy the pace as well!”
– Sam A.
