Week Fourty-Four

I’ll be honest. I’ve been feeling a little lost lately. Things are going on in my life recently that is making it hard to produce work, let alone do anything fun and creative. I’m so tired. I’ve been home a LOT lately, rarely going out and participating in the things that make life joyful.

Sometimes I feel like I forgot how to do LIFE. It feels crushing. And I know the “living” is what I need to get me back to good. But we all go through seasons of this (or at least thinking that makes me feel less alone). I’m holding on to some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel that I won’t feel this way forever. Reaching out for help is the first step. I know one of the reasons my creativity exists to help get me through times like this. It equips me with a form of expression that gets these feelings out of my head and out in the world, sending out feelers, searching for hope.

The reason I keep consistently working at my creative skills are so I can accurately express these feelings. It might not be the only reason, but it’s a big one.

What to Do

  • Think about the ways you creativity can serve you. How can it help you in dark times?
  • Don’t forget to get out and live! It’s truly the life experiences that best inspire us.
