Week Forty-Two

We are entering the final 10 weeks of the year!

Can you believe it? I remember when I started this project in January, how far away even just the double-digit weeks seemed! It’s crazy what you can accomplish when you are passionate, committed, and pushing yourself. I’m very proud of myself for keeping up with these weekly emails and and the Making Art Everyday project in general. It looks a bit different now than what I imagined it might be when I was planning it out this time last year. But I love what it is now, and I have learned so much. And I’m in the planning stages of what NEXT YEAR is going to hold for Making Art Everyday, and it’s pretty dang exciting. I really think you’re going to like what I’ve got planned to help inspire and push you creatively. More to come!

What to Do

  • What do the last 10 weeks of your year look like? This time of year can get very busy for most people, so be sure to plan time for yourself to do what you love.
  • Give yourself a little praise for keeping with your creative habit!

October Prompts

Myths & Magic

This week, our artwork will be drawing upon literary references. It’s fairytale week! There are several ways you could approach these prompts. You can draw a character from the story. You could draw a few of the important objects or accessories. What might the book cover look like? If you are feeling ambitious you could even try drawing a scene from the tale!
