Week thirty

Remember when you were a kid, and you’d spend hours and hours doing something you were really excited about? When you were a child, enthusiasm like this might have come to you more easily. With our busy lives, even when we feel the motivation, our schedules might not allow us the time to pursue what inspires us.

I very often find myself staying up way too late working away at some creative endeavor. Once I get into that flow state, it makes me feel so good, I don’t want to stop!

My hope for you is that Making Art Everyday helps you develop a habit and exercise your creative muscles. And hopefully, it inspires that drive inside you to find a thing you’d be willing to sacrifice sleep for because you love it so much. (But seriously, don’t forget to sleep!)

Be sure to grab my FREE “Kids Make Art!” brush set for Procreate! It’s got all your favorite art supplies you loved as a child and is perfect for little Procreate artists too!

I’ve made a webpage that will serve as a home base for everything that is going on this month – and there’s a lot! You can find that page at bardotbrush.com/kids. It’s got a full schedule of all the tutorials and other fun stuff that is going on during Kid’s Month.

Week 30: Adventures & Imagination

This set of prompts is designed to tickle your imagination and get you thinking of far-off adventures! So get outrageous and inventive! For example, you could draw a treehouse, but not just any treehouse…maybe it has a rocket-powered swing or magical bridge or an ice cream machine! A crazy vehicle could be a toilet car or a banana split boat! What kind of robot will you invent and what will it do? Spend some time brainstorming ideas and think outside the box!
