Week twenty-nine

FREE Procreate Coloring Pages!

One of the reasons coloring books are so popular (especially the ones made specifically for grown-ups) is because you get to turn off your brain for a while and simply enjoy the physical act of laying down color. It can be very relaxing!

I’ve created four unique coloring pages that you can download for free! These are set up as Procreate files so you can color right on your iPad in Procreate. These pages go along with some of our Making Art Everyday prompts for this week. Try using my free “Kids Make Art!” brushes to color them in! There are also printable PDF versions of the coloring pages if you’d like to color on paper instead. Be sure to catch my Live tutorial on Monday, at 10:30 am PDT, where I teach you some fun tricks for coloring the pages in Procreate!

Be sure to grab my FREE “Kids Make Art!” brush set for Procreate! It’s got all your favorite art supplies you loved as a child and is perfect for little Procreate artists too!

I’ve made a webpage that will serve as a home base for everything that is going on this month – and there’s a lot! You can find that page at bardotbrush.com/kids. It’s got a full schedule of all the tutorials and other fun stuff that is going on during Kid’s Month.

Week 29: Coloring Book

You can approach the prompts this week in a couple of different ways:

1. Design and Draw Your Own Coloring Pages

Sketch out a scene based on the prompt, then create your final piece as clean, black line art on a white background. Watch my tutorial about How to Make a Coloring Page in Procreate to learn how to do this!

2. Color a Coloring Page!

Download one of my free Procreate coloring pages to color however you’d like! Pssst…this is a great option for the kids who are participating in Kid’s Month. I have made coloring pages to go with four of this week’s prompts. You can color them right in Procreate or have fun coloring on paper with the printable PDF. 0n July 12, I’ll host another live tutorial where we’ll color a Procreate coloring page together!

This Week's Tutorial

If you’ve ever wanted to turn your artwork into coloring pages to give away or sell, or make a coloring book of your art, get ready to learn how to do just that right on your iPad in Procreate! I’ll teach you how to design and create your very own coloring pages. I’ll take you through laying out your scene, making a sketch, how to make clean line art, and setting up your files if you want to offer them as a .Procreate download or a printable PDF.

Did you know you can use Procreate like a coloring book? Even better — you can use some really cool digital art tricks to have even more fun than traditional coloring. Follow along with me and color one of my FREE coloring pages in this live Procreate tutorial. I’ll teach you tips and tricks for coloring, including how using Procreate features such as Layers and Alpha Lock can speed up coloring and create cool effects you’d never be able to do on paper!

The best place to catch the live stream is on the Bardot Brush YouTube Channel. Don’t forget: You can watch or re-watch the previous livestreams on my tutorials page on Bardot Brush!
