Week Twenty-Five

Give yourself the time.

This past week I had a few days off, away from home for a mini vacation. I draw for a living, but lately I haven’t done much drawing truly for myself. So I took the opportunity to explore an idea I’ve had in my head for a bit. I spent six hours in one day working on this drawing and it was so freeing. It was wonderful to give myself more than just 15 minutes to do something for me. If you want to see the piece that I drew you can check it out here on my instagram.

What to Do

  • Making art everyday is great, but sometimes it’s nice to spend a longer chunk of time working on something. See If you can carve out some extended time to dedicate to drawing this week. If that’s not possible, maybe find a way to combine all of this week’s prompts into one scene. Think about the background, the setting and if you’re feeling bold, add in a person or a character.
