In this class you’ll learn how to manipulate text while you create a vintage style postcard in Procreate! I’ll teach you a handful of text effects like 3D block shadowing, inner strokes and more! At the end of the class, you’ll have an awesome postcard that you can mail to a friend or family member!
If you only draw one piece this month, design a postcard!
This month’s Making Art Everyday theme is Vacation Mode, where we will draw all kinds of vacation destinations. Travel postcards are a perfect way to utilize all those vacation-themed drawings!
This week’s featured artist is Debbie Mansou, (@iamdebbiemansour) Debbie created her robot piece as part of a DTIYS challenge. She used brushes from the Bardot Brush Pencil Box set. “I always sketch my drawing with Bardot Pencil first, and then color it in by hand with Bardot Pencil Smooth.“
Lastly, “I finish my drawing off with Bardot Quick Scribble, which instantly gives everything a great texture.”
Debbie is inspired by the children’s picture books she reads with her daughter. “I always discover new techniques, color palettes and compositions in them.”
