The process of creating can be stressful sometimes. We often place a lot of pressure on ourselves to make “something good.” But I’ve found my favorite pieces come from the times I’m doodling for fun. So I wanted to center this month’s MAE theme around the idea of playful art-making. I invite you to create with no expectations of yourself other than to enjoy the process!
This set of FREE Procreate brushes has all your favorite art supplies – crayons, markers, paint, and colored pencils! Perfect for kids, and kids-at-heart! Be sure to download the user guide to get the free crocodile tutorial.
If you only draw one piece this month, make your own greeting card design.
Making your own greeting cards is a really fun way to use your art in the real world. They also make excellent gifts! You can make single cards for a special occasion, or you can mass produce your cards and sell them online. Whatever you choose to do, creating art for greeting cards is a really satisfying experience!
Everyone really got into the music-player theme last week! We had so many people participate in MAE it was hard to pick just three artists to feature.
If you’d like to be a featured MAE artist, be sure to use the #bardotbrush so we can find your artwork!
If you’re looking for some art friends, look no further! MAE’s Facebook Group has over 16 thousand members who are all sharing + supporting one another in their art-making journey.
If you’ve enjoyed or found value in my content, consider buying me a donut! It will help me continue to produce high-quality videos, tutorials and free tools for you guys.
Making Art Everyday is a series of daily, weekly, and monthly prompts and challenges to help you overcome creative fears and develop your art-making practice. Every month, we will feature a new theme that will allow you to hone a set of skills, practice drawing something specific, or complete a project.
