Week Seventeen

I got nothin’

Ever feel like your running out of juice? Yeah, that’s me right now. I have a long to-do list, but it’s been really hard to get started on anything. I think I just need to do more things like make animated alligators.

Never forget to HAVE FUN with this project. Draw something silly, don’t take the prompts (or the project for that matter) too seriously. Don’t get stuck in the perfectionism trap. It’s better to have fun making something imperfect than to stress out trying to get every detail right or (even worse) trying to be as good as “everyone else”. Spoiler alert: comparison will destroy your creativity.

What to Do

  • Sketch the first thing that comes to mind without thinking about it too much. Don’t think about what you want the end result to be, just start drawing. Add weird lines here and there and whatever color pops in your head. It doesn’t have to match “your style” or even look good for that matter. See what happens when you let your brain flow.

HOME

One of the most important things in life happens in the bedroom. We crave it when we’ve gone too long without it. We’ll take a quick one when we we can get it, but we love it when it lasts a long time. Kids haven’t got a clue why the grown-ups like it. And without it, humanity literally could not survive. I think you know what I’m talkin’ about…sleep! 😴
