New Year, New MAE

2022 is just around the corner! Are you ready to become your most creative self?

2022 marks the FOURTH year of Making Art Everyday’s mission to help you overcome creative fears and grow your art-making practice. If you’ve been here a while, thanks for coming on this ride. If you’re new around here, you are in for a treat! This edition of MAE is going to be so much fun. Here’s a little sneak peek!

Pick your path

Based on your feedback, I’m changing up the structure of Making Art Everyday! Everything you’ve always loved will still be there, but I’m adding some additional elements that will help you customize it based on your needs and goals, stay on track and learn more!

Monthly Project

For occasional art-makers or those who would like to work on one project over several sessions, this beginner to intermediate level monthly project will be accompanied by more in-depth resources, presented in sections so you can put it down and pick it up throughout the month.

Weekly Goal

Each week, I’ll highlight one of the daily prompts with some extra guidance. It’s an “if you only do one piece this week, try this” situation. For that prompt, I’ll share a tutorial, time-lapse, or other resources to help you accomplish drawing that week.

Daily Prompts

The daily prompts you know and love will still be there for you. I plan on keeping these prompts very simple, something that you can realistically accomplish in a day, or they might build upon each other to create something more involved.

Make art at YOUR pace

No matter how much time and energy you have to invest in your creative habit, MAE has something for you.

Looking into 2022

More Education

My goal this year is to focus more on education and creating learning resources. That means more ways and opportunities for you to learn! I’m really excited to create more in-depth courses like my How to Draw Fur and Paper Cut classes!

Revisiting Old Favorites

I’ve been cooking up some new and exciting prompt themes for MAE 2022, but we’ll also be revisiting and expanding upon some of my most popular tutorial series like Character Camp and Scene School!

More to come!

I’ve received so much great feedback from you and have lots more ideas to implement into MAE over the course of the new year. So stay tuned…there are tons of fun surprises in store!
