The Making Art Everyday challenge is entering its THIRD YEAR of helping you overcome creative fears and establish a daily art-making practice. If you’ve been here a while, thanks for coming on this ride. If you’re new around here, you are in for a treat! I’ve got so much fun stuff plan for this edition of MAE. Here’s a little sneak peek…
For 2021, I’ll be introducing the element of Skill Building. I have an extensive list of skills you’ve said you want to learn. I’ll be infusing these skills into Making Art Everyday. Months, weeks, prompts, or tutorials will be dedicated to helping you learn particular skills. For example: drawing skills (such as lighting and shading, perspective), Procreate features (like animation, blend modes), art fundamentals (color theory, conceptualization), developing style, how to make money with art, and much more!
I’ve been cooking up some new and exciting prompt themes! There will be some old favorites, like food, nature, and animals, plus some new themes like Color month and “Make Stuff!” month. I’m even planning a whole month dedicated to kids! Plus, we’ll be revisiting some of our most popular series, like People Skills and Character Camp.
I’ll be introducing some new Progress Trackers to help you set goals and keep you on track.
I’ve got so many ideas I want to implement as the year progresses, like a MAE artist gallery, contests, featured artist merch, guest newsletter contributors, and so much more!
I will be launching a Patreon Page soon! There will be lots of amazing perks like early-access and exclusive brush sets, semi-private live draw sessions, voting on what we draw in future tutorials, special discount codes, Procreate files to play with, and more. Stay tuned for more info!
This FREE Procreate class has everything you need to know about how to use Procreate. In this comprehensive class, I’ll cover everything that new users need to know: brushes and other essential tools, gestures, layers, masks, working with color, even Procreate animation, the best file formats for sharing your artwork, and organizing your files. This Procreate tutorial is perfect for people that have no experience with Procreate, but even skilled users will pick up some useful Procreate tips and tricks.
We’ve got a Facebook group just for participants of Making Art Everyday and all things Bardot Brush! Come join our group of supportive artists of all skill levels, share your work, ask questions, and be a part of the community!
